TPMS Compatibility question

I bought some OEM takeoffs and they came with the tpms sensors installed. They're off I think a 2021. I stopped at the tire shop to have the tpms reprogrammed. They said they could get all the transmitters to read in the tires, but couldn't ever get the 4runner to read them. It's a 2015 4runner. Anyone know if the tpms are compatible between the years or do I need to swap them all from the old wheels?

They changed the frequency in 20 I think. Whenever they new radio and display started.

Thanks. I looked up the part number and the break is 2017-2018. Visually the two look identical. I actually have a third set that i may put in if the batteries are still good. It's odd that they changed sensors.

You can find the OEM part on ebay for ~$40 per set of 4. PMV-107J

I bought some and programmed them myself(I have a tpms tool) and they worked fine on my 2018

I would buy new so at least you dont need to replace them due to batteries in a short time.

I ran into the same thing on my 2014. I bought take off wheels from a 2019 and the sensors were not compatible.
