Good info...tempting to ground that light right now. I hate that stupid thing. At what point did we become too stupid to check the air in our tires once in a while...what a shame nanny in gov't decided we needed a law to mandate TPMS. Airing down on trails it's always on and since I rotate the spare the tire pressures are always fine. The only time it would come on for me is if I actually get a flat or shred a sidewall. I usually notice when something like that happens...but at least if I didn't notice I was driving on the rim there is an idiot light to let me know.
When Ford and Firestone pointed fingers at each other about how tires were failing on Explorers. They decided the consumer was partially to blame for running with under-inflated tires.
