Not to be an a$$ or captain obvious, but have you checked your tire pressures? Remember to check your spares tire pressure as that will affect the system too. Get them up to specs listed on the door, and then take a quick ride if it doesn't immediately go out.
If everything checks ok, it might be a bad sensor in the wheel.

It sure will be nice to be able to Air down this next Pismo Beach trip and not have that light ON. I go on a lot of off road trip's and air down most all times so it was a pain. Everytime someone would get in my truck "Whats that mean" "Are we ok".
I am installing a on/off switch for normal road use also.

If i do, was thinking of using one of the blank's by DAC button and getting a toyota button/switch.
I am also thinking of new wheels and tires (without tpms). so leave it off and forget it.
Either way this is a great mod if you go off road or want to switch wheels.

Well, I got tired of the tpms light flashing(had tape to cover light) with different wheels so this weekend I thought I'd try one of these "fixes". I used this info and info from http://www.tacomaterritory.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26691&page=5&pp=30
I cut the pink/black wire, put quick connectors on, wired the side going to the light with a 2amp fuse to ground. I started the car and no light(usually doesn't come on until I've been driving for awhile anyway), but what I noticed was that when I turned the key on(without starting engine)the tmps light would not light. I than disconnected the ground and reconnected to the tpms computer. When I turned the key on again, the tmps light came on. At least grounding the wire did not burn out the light. Anyway, this is not a DD so I won't know for sure if this really works for awhile. Well let you know when I know more.

Some douche-bag at 4wheelparts swapped out my stems and never replaced the sensor in the rim. It took more than 4 months of phone calls and they finally got the part from Toyota and fixed it...no more bliniking light!!! It's not a difficult process to put this part within the wall of the tire and it sends a signal to the computer (including your spare) it's genius Toyota engineering to have this unique sensor for your tires within proximity and not affected by rotation. Unless your using some oddball wheel system there should be no blinking tpms light!!!! The sensor is tiny and is on the inside of your inflation stem.

Hi I was pretty sure there was a way to disable the TPMS feature by just a procedure that involved cycling the key in the ignition & a few button pushes but I haven't been able to find it again yet... But i did find this video that should actually disable it Not just cut power to the error bulb & its very simple to do...
