TPMS Display Readout

I've been searching for something like this, and couldn't find it, so I'll just ask:

Is there a product out there that uses the factory TPMS sensors, but provides a readout of actual tire pressures/temps?

There are aftermarket kits (from Hella and Orange Electric) that use identical/similar sensors to the Pacific ones Toyota puts in the 4Runner. Those sensors are 1-way transmitters, so there is nothing technical keeping someone from programing a display to read out the pressures sent by the factory sensors while still keeping the factory TPMS system in place.

This would be a lot more valuable to me than an idiot light...

Any ideas?

Tire pressure and temperature are sent back to the TPMS computer. A more advanced, Toyota-specific OBD II diagnostic tool should be able to read them.

The Scangauge II now supports arbitrary programming of OBD command strings, so if you were able to get your hands on the OBD data stream for those particular parameters, the Scangauge would read them out for you.

I upgrade my radio to the cth 9 radio awhile back. I can check it through the radio using an obd2 reader. I don't really like that i have to change my screen in order to display it and wanted it somewhere on the dash. I found this which fills one of the empty little accessory plates. So...here you go, I wish the display was a little more oem looking though, but it works

06+ T4R gives added data at the OBD2 port, to include TPMS info.

My Pioneer NEX with idatalink Maestro displays the PSI info.

I think the easiest and agree with previous poster is to use a new head unit with the iDatalink Maestro RR Interface Module for OBDII readouts within the head unit. Additional plus you also get android or apple interface with use of built int mobile gps apps instead of the factory DVD route.
