tpms interchange between 2014 and 2018 and center cap dents

I just picked up a set of these trail wheels off a 2018 4runner ALY75154U Toyota 4Runner, FJ Cruiser Wheel Machined #4261135540

The tpms was included. Does anyone know if the tpms from a 2018 will work on my 2014? I thought I would use the newer ones and get them programmed since the batteries are newer and should last longer.

I also noticed several of the center caps have small dents. It appears this happened while installing the center caps. The silver trim ring is very thin metal. Does anyone have a good method to install the caps without denting the silver trim ring?

Center caps.
Yep, they are soft aluminum. They dent as easy as a soft drink can. You take them off with that bent spoon-shaped pry bar in your tire change kit. Put them on by evenly lining them up on the rim and slapping them with the palm of your hand. The dealer dinged mine up during an oil change with a rubber mallet.

Thanks, I will try to straighten them out. Those black caps look exactly like the ones that are on my stock 20" Limited wheels.
