I picked up an OBD MX+ shortly after my last post here. It is working on an OBD MX+ (I did buy the enhanced PID package for my truck) on iPhone XS (latest iOS).
I too have had a few adapters (carista and a couple generics) This has been the "most" stable of the bunch. It still hickup disconnects BUT has some features to mitigate the annoyance in the app, like auto-reconnect, remember last network, ect.
To reiterate you can only connect to one network at a time with this adapter. Meaning if you want Trans Oil Temp and TPMS it won't work they are on different networks. It would work if they were on the same network but they aren't. Network A is were most of your trucks info is (there are like of 400 PID's there). The TPMS network has some redundant PID's that are useful to that system but is pretty limited by comparison.
Example: the ambient temp out is 74F right now and the truck is off.

Trade in for a 2020 or later. I can't believe it took Toyota this long to get this going.

Personally, I kinda like my '13, it doesn't look as much like the other 1.4 million units driving the US
I really dig those '06-14 FJ's too BTW

I've bought some parts from them before for my GS and had no issues. I've seen a couple posts on FB about the TPMS that some 5th gen owners have ordered. All the other post that I have seen were for other Lexus vehicles and they seem to have no issues either.
supposedly there are some on aliexpress for cheaper but may not be the right freq for the 4rns. 315mhz
