TPMS Sensor in Spare?

I have a Limited '14. I'm embarrassed to say, but I'm unsure if my spare has TPMS or not?

Getting ready to replace it with a full size and I'd like to start a 5 wheel rotation if possible. Obviously this would work much better if there was a TPMS sensor.

I did a bit more searching and the results are less clear. I know the 4th gen does, but it seems some 5th gens do while others don't.

Air it down below 30 and you'll get an answer really quick with your tpms.

Let the air out and see if TPMS warning comes on.

Being that my ‘13 Trail only had four sensors, I did a bit of research and talked to a few dealers trying to find out if a fifth sensor could be added. Here is what I found out and this may not be completely accurate. The 2014+ Limited is the only model that came with five sensors. All other trim levels only had four and the fifth cannot be added to the system.

Look at your owners manual. In the 2016 manual is shows that vehicles with 20 inch wheels (limiteds) rotate all 5 tires, all other models rotate 4.

My 14 Limited only has 4 sensors. If you have a yellow painted spare wheel it does not have the sensor. I do not think the 5 sensors came out till around 16.

15 LE with yellow coated spare wheel has 5 sensors. I know this as fact.

My '19 TRDP did not have TPMS in the spare...

I found this out after purchasing a 5th TRDP wheel (and 1 new tire to match).

I also found out that my computer only has four slots for TPMS IDs... So I couldn't add one to the spare even if I wanted too. Go figure...
