Do 4th gens come with TPMS? If so, how would you know if you had it by looking at the valve stem?

I have a set of 5 spokes if that makes a difference.

The TPMS system was offered on the 4th Generation 4Runner, became standard after '06 (All vehicles mandated by law by '07 model year).
To identify if you are equipped with a TPMS system, simply look at the valve stem on the wheel, if it is an aluminum valve stem with a 11mm socket cut around the outside then its a TPMS.
My '04 Sport Edition has them.

Worth? Well we sell them at the dealership at $120-ish per sensor... then you have to have them programed to the vehicle which can only be done at the dealership with a factory TIS Techstream...

Looks like they are pre 06 then.
From what I can see, that's not a TPMS stem. It looks like a standard rubber stem with a chrome sleeve and cap.

i have mine on my 04. i know nothing about the valve stem. but i found the program box thingamajig by accident. could check there and see if you have it, maybe? might be cheaper to have installed if you do?
i found mine under the outside of the glove box. theres a black plate with i believe 1 or 2 screws holding it up, so i undid that when i took off my glove box and it dropped and there was a fuse control thing with a ton of wires and it reads on it "tpms device" or something along those lines. i can take pics if need be. but i dont know if your tires have it, or if its programmed or what not.

Don't believe the 4th Gens use the indirect TPMS system (uses ABS and Traction Control to detect "bouciness" in tires for inflation) so if you had the module in the truck you most likely had the sensors in the wheels at one point, unless someone removed them or broke them.
