Current 2008 has 265/60/18 with oem TPS and ready to buy another set of wheels/tires 265/65/17. plan to keep current 18" spare w/TPS intact. What issues do I have to deal with if new setup has TPS, what if NO TPS?

New sensors in new wheels can be cloned to existing frequencies. Will work like OEM. Any tire shop will have the programmer to do this. If ur buying online they can pre-program before shipping to you, just give them the VIN and vehicle year/ make/model

You could swap the existing sensors over as well but that’s more labor and at nearly 10 years old they’re about to kick it anyway.

No sensors will trigger the TPMS light on the dash. You can do the TPMS bypass which would kill the light. Tutorial is on here just search for it.

TPMS computer looks for 5 sensors including the one in the spare tire. So keep that in mind

Thanks for the info! So are you sayin that I can leave the existing spare that has a TPMS in place , and replace old tire/wheel assemblies with 4 "new" tire/wheel assemblies with different/new TPMS sensors and the 4 new ones will work with the old one on the spare!?

Yes that’s right
