Traction control beeping on right turns

Been lifted with the OME kit for a little over a year no. Recently I noticed when taking right hand turns, think in between high speed sweeping turns and just turning right after a stop sign, around 15-25 mph or so. The traction control light blinks and I get a beeping. Haven't seen it do it during a left turn yet.

Doesn't happen all the time, and I am not able to recreate it all the time either. I'm not driving like a maniac or anything or sliding the rear end or anything. Tires aren't screeching or anything like that. Just seems to be way over reactive all the sudden on right turns....... Strange. Any ideas?

You need to do a zero point calibration, it resets the TRAC and VSC to be normalized to the new height and body roll of the vehicle after a lift.

Might want to check your tire pressure first to make sure all are good. Just a good first step, especially if it's starting now and not when you did the lift.

I also have this issue on my lifted 08. I am speculating that I get some front right wheel well rub that triggers the wheel spin sensors and tricks the TRAC into a slip condition. What do y'all think?

Update: The rub sound I hear is the ABS. I guess i need to do the zero point calibration.

Light and beeping went off on a mild left turn about 40 mph. Checked suspension and had a snapped front left sway bar end link. Replacing Monday. Will update if it fixed my issue. Also had a low LF tire. 17 psi.

Skid Control Light

My 02 Limited 4Runner skid control light comes on and beeps when I make a slight right turn at about 40mph. Does anyone know if this could be a sensor going bad. Maybe a wheel sensor or the yaw rate sensor? I haven't changed anything on the vehicle. Just like when I bought it new in 02. No lift kits or anything. Thanks J.Morrow

Same issue, maybe worse

Just joined the forum so I can't post my own thread but would love some advice if anyone stumbles across this reply. Same problem as OP but different...

I just bought a 2001 4runner which drives great until I took it up canyon roads with twisty turns. When transitioning from turn to turn, (right-left, left-right) my traction control starts beeping although I have full traction, then it locks up my front brakes (more heavily on the right).

This is dangerous and probably shouldn't drive until I find a fix, but I will be moving soon and need the car. Thinking of doing the andy-mod without a switch until I can get one. Essentially just cut the wire and leave traction control off. Will this prevent my traction control from locking up the brakes?

just changed the tires

My 2002 4R all of a sudden developed sway and the beeper goes off when turning. I think the guys at the tire shop caught the tie rod with the jack. I was about to replace my steering rack as I have 350k on it. So I replaced it and the beeper still goes off and there is some sway though most of the scary part went away.
Any ideas?

rear end sway

I did change the rear springs. several years ago and new shocks,, i just had the rear bearings done and took it on a long trip out to white pocket. It did fine but after changing the tires,, the beeper started going off. I wonder if it was coincident.
