Traded in the sports car

I just traded an 06 Mustang GT for my new 4Runner. We have a little one on the way and the Mustang just wasn't going to work obviously. I thought I would miss the power and the sound, but I am totally hooked on sitting higher up and being able to drive over stuff. Unfortunately tonight that was a nail in the mall parking lot :-( Looks my first mod will be a tire plug.

I thought I was going to miss a lot going from a sports car to a T4R, but I'm finding myself not really missing it nearly as much as I thought I would. Granted, there are some things, but there is a lot to like about my new T4R too. I like the way it drives, I like sitting up higher (although that took a while to get used to), I think the Galactic Grey is quite sharp, and I like the convenience of the vehicle. Compound that with it being a Toyota, and I am very happy with my purchase.

Wow you guys have some very decent cars that you had to let go.. my car didn't even came close:biggrin2:

I only had an accord before the 4runner but i sure miss it as much as you guys miss your sports car, i had put a lot of effort on my accord that makes it so missed........ BUT i have no regrets in chosing the 4runner, i had always liked it, nothing compares! :rocker:

I got rid of a 99 M3 for my 2004 4Runner Sport. I found that, as much as I liked the sports car, I was giving up too much in not being able to fit things in the car (hiking, camping, fishing, hockey gear or a bike). I miss the M3 but the 4Runner and the things I can do are worth it.

I went from an mildly modded '00 Mustang GT to my current runner. I really miss the mustang but it's one of those cars that when you think about it you miss it, but when I drove it I never felt it was all that great. The one thing I do miss was the sound of the V8 with the dual exhaust and mufflers. Hopefully I'll add the flowmaster soon to the runner and get that sound back.
