Trail Team FJ Wheels - 6 Spoke

I apologize for the n00bish question, but I've searched and I can't come up with solid answers. I don't want to dump a bunch of money on some wheels and then be stuck.

I've got a 2002 Thundercloud Sport and I'm interested in the the FJ Trail Team 6 spoke wheel, these:

I figured this would be a popular wheel. They look fantastic. But I hardly ever see any pics of them on 3rd Gens. Anything I'm missing? Are there fitment issues?

Also, does anyone know if these will clear either the 199mm or 231mm brakes?

Great looking wheels but too expensive for me to risk them on trails and such. My regular FJ wheels have some nice scratches and even a small piece gouged out here or there, so that could be one reason you don't see them more often. As far as fitment over the Tundra calipers someone posted a thread from the Tundra forum not that long ago that I believe was those wheels and resulted in a lot of pictures of them on Tundras.

They are extremely expensive and some what hard to find. You can't just go up to the dealership and order them. You have to actually own an FJ and show paperwork. There are a few members around with them. They're very nice wheels but for the price, I can buy a set of beadlocks. There shouldn't be any fitment issues and yes they will clear the TBU. There are some fakes out there that aren't true TT FJ Wheels. They are more or less the same exact thing though, just cheaper. I think most the actual TT ones come in black.

I've got the black ones! They fit fine no issues or anything. I believe they are an 8" or 7.5" wheel and have a 4.5" backspace. Although I'm not positive, that's just what I read. Also another member, GetOut, is running them with 285s and no wheel spacers. Here's a few pics! Sorry for the crap quality.

Do you know if they clear the 231s? I know they clear the 199s because GetOut is running them, but I wasn't sure the 231s fit.

I'm not 100% positive but I'm pretty sure they will. I'd ask how much clearance he has with the 199s.

Revitalizing an old thread. Did anyone confirm these will fit the 231's? There is a set for sale locally for a pretty fair price and I'm highly contemplating them.

Buy them regardless. You can always sale them if they don't. They usually go quick. Or if the person is nice enough to let you test the fitment of one wheel before you commit, I'm sure that would be preferred lol.
