Trails in Southern IL/Western KY/Southeast MO

I'm new to off-roading and I'm struggling to find trails in the area to play on. I don't mind driving a couple of hours as long as the trails aren't too short. I'm also looking for wider trails ideally in order to avoid unnecessary pin-striping. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Land Between the Lakes in western KY is perfect for a beginner, and really the most accessible trails you will find in the area for mostly stock yet capable 4x4s. It's a wide assortment of roads, some very easy, some quite challenging. But no doubt you can spend a day there exploring.

Depends on the trail if pin-striping will be an issue or not, I don't consider it bad.

You can sniff out roads on your own, but if you want to head down there one day, I'm sure we could get something going with a small group, just let me know if your interested.

That sounds great! right now my rig is stock but, by early February I'll have Icon stage 2 and KO2s.

Are people able to bring tents and camp out there if they want?

Stock will do fine but the tires are the big thing. It gets slippery when wet.

Yes there are a ton of camping options from full hookup to primitive.

Ah, the pin stripe dilemma. It gets easier after you get your first few.

Totally trolling this thread, but it's from this year at least.

I'd like to see if anyone is interested in meeting up at LBL maybe later this month or early November. I'm a noob, so probably won't be looking for anything too extreme. Feel free to reply here or PM.
