trails near kyburz ca help?

I will be headed from idaho to kyburz california for a family camping trip around the 2nd week in june. What I am wondering if anybody knows of any trails or good places to take the runner out. I will be taking my 07 sport that's mostly stock but has 265\75\17 toyo open country mt s. Any info will help thanks Jay

There are a lot of great trails near there. The famous Rubicon trail is not far, but not for stock vehicles(my sig photo was taken there).
I'm including a link for stawberry pass which is a nice intermediate.

The only problem is we got a lot of snow this year and it will not be melted by the time you come down.

Hey thanks for the info. That sounds like a pretty fun trail, hopefully the snow is gone enough by then for us to enjoy the whole area and challenge the 4runner. How much snow do you guys still have there? How did your t4r do on the rubicon? Thanks again jay

I'm not exactly sure on the snow depth. I live at a lower elevation, 2500'. At 7000' there is still over 10 feet of snow. So at Kyburz, which I believe is around 4000' - 5000' there could still be plenty. It's getting warm so hopefully it will melt quick. But the shady areas tend to take a long time. You should at least be able to partially head up that road. Or if you head south on Hwy 50 you could probably find some decent roads at a lower elevation. On that link I posted there are some USGS maps you can download.

The Rubicon is a pretty serious trail. I have a stock limited so I didn't venture out too far. I did the first climb onto the granite face and took the picture.
