trails/off-road locations in NC

I'm in Goldsboro , NC and i was wondering if anyone from around here or close has any places they go off-road or trails? i know there are some once you get closer to Boone but i was hoping there was some where closer to maybe try out. Thanks

Uhwarrie National Forrest about 2 hours from you.

Fort Fisher - state beach you can drive on - a little more then an hour from you.

The Hwy 70 bypass that they are building around Goldsboro. This is considered trespassing though.

Busco Beach - they have some restrictions though.

Out Towards Kinston, The have local Mud Boggs but Mudd isn't fun.

There is an old Cemetery behind Cherry Mental institution (the hospital for all the crazies). This is the grave yard where all they had experimented with that have perished. Not really public knowledge. Interesting drive though.

Cherry Hospital Museum
Opened in 1880 by the state for African Americans with mental illnesses, Cherry Hospital was named in 1959 for R. Gregg Cherry, Governor from 1945-1949. It has been open to all races since 1965 when the state was divided into four regions and Cherry Hospital began serving the 33 counties of NC’s eastern region. Patients worked its 3,500 acres of farmland until the 1970s. The museum depicts over a century of history with photographs, log books, and a variety of the hospital’s authentic medical and farming equipment.

Dang Drake I thought me and durrell were the only ppl on here from Goldsboro, well as far as off road trails in Gboro its pretty much you have to know the right ppl to get onto farm lands to do some mudding ort get a ATV and hit up busco beach other than that you have URE and the beaches. If you fnd somewhere let us know.
