tranny issues

Hi guys! First off let me start off by saying this site rules and has helped me understand alot more about T4Rs. I have a 98 limited and started having a litlte tranny issues. Once in awhile after being stuck in traffic I press the pedal and the RPM goes up to 1500-2500 before catching gear. It happens once or twice everyday. I flushed the tranny but it still does it. The car runs fine but it gets annoying when it happens. What do you guys think it is? I don't think it's slipping because pulls pretty hard if need be. Maybe a sensor? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Could be something as simple as a wire, etc. Possibly a shift solenoid which won't be bad at all. Take it to a reputable tranny shop or one with good recomendations, and have them diagnose it with a scan tool. It may very well be throwing a code that will pinpoint the problem. Don't wait, and you may catch something small early.
