Hello,
I'm trying to figure out what may be wrong and why it's incredibly difficult to get into gear or at times, change gears while driving. it's an 85, 22re w/ the 5 speed manual. Usually in the mornings or after not being driven for several hours, upon start up, it can be very stubborn to get into first. I really have to put some muscle into it. It's also like this w/ every gear as well, w/ the probability of grinding during shifts. Once it's warm though, it shifts smoothly. I'm confused though b/c i changed the transmission fluid almost one year ago and these difficulties had never arisen, and now just this past month, it's been starting to do this. I'm thinking possible clutch problem b/c i have also noted that the clutch begins to grab the moment i let off the peddle. maybe the plates need adjusting?? btw, I replaced the slave and master cylinder, but the problem is still there.
