Tranny Probs

Well on my mom's 92' 4Runner Auto 4x4 she was complaining that the tranny might be screwed. She said that when she would go into reverse it would still be in drive. And when she goes into drive it goes reverse. Any of you guys experience this problem? I drove her car and everything seemed normal to me. It happen to her 2 times this week. Any way to fix this problem? Im thinking about changing the tranny fluid to see if it would help or not.

I would drive it a few more times to see if it is the truck or your Mom(no offense), I would not think it could happen just from time to time.
I would otherwise say maybe the linkage needed to be adjusted.

I would see if the shifter link cable might be stretched. You could probably pick up one of these pretty cheap from an auto parts place (autozone, pep boys, kragen,etc)! Good luck.

yea i think it was just my mom cuz me and my dad test drove it and it seemed fine to both of us.
