Is the long tru-cool lpd the best cooler for the money. Does it bypass the stock in radiator cooler and is 4454 the correct part #. Thanks

It is a quality part, for sure. That is the correct number, but you can use any size you can fit in there. I have the 4454, and it's been working great. Haven't had it over a summer yet, though.

By all means completely bypass the in-radiator cooler when you install this. Search on here and on Yotatech for threads with photos.

Yes, I think that the tru-cool is one of the best coolers that you can get for a really good price. The good thing about tru-cool is the internal bypass for cold weather to avoid over-cooling the trans fluid. I know that the TRD ones and a few other brands do not have this feature (TRD cooler wayyy to expensive anyway)

You don't have to bypass the stock radiator cooler with an external cooler, but I would highly recommend bypassing to avoid having the strawberry milkshake happen to you.
