Is there a way to stop the trans from downshifting when slowing down on my 2006 4R? What ninny came up with such an idea? It's not like we are using breaking regeneration on a hybrid. It just lowers your gas mileage.
Thx,
Jim
From the replies, I can see where I stated the problem with not enough details. I don't mean normal downshifting when coming to a stop. Those shifts aren't even felt. I mean when i'm letting off the gas and just touch the brakes (especially on a decline) it drops several gears and the RPMs rev up. I'm wanting to coast and it's pulling the car down as though I downshifted a manual trans.
