Trans filters

Has anyone used any of the in line trans filters? I'm considering ordering and ATI magnafine filter to add in line between the trans and cooler. I know our trans filter is not so much a filter, because it's a strainer. Just more concerned that if I drop this filter in it might start causing slipping. Any thoughts?

I used it. Didn't notice a difference but I have a piece of mind. Install it and stress about more important things.

Over 125,000 miles using magnefine filters between the trans coolers, zero issues. :cowboy:

I have one in the power steering return line. Nice clean fluid.

I use genuine Magnefine or the Wix equivalent in other A/Ts I own and also in my PS system. There's really no downside and they will go to full-flow if they get plugged. I would just away from Raybestos-branded ones or any style made in China. Also make sure you orient them in the right flow direction -- they are marked.

I've also been using a Magnefine in-line trans filter for thousands of miles with no issues.
