Transfer Case Re-Seal

Anyone had to have it done? What did it cost? Just trying to get an idea. 2006 V8 4x4


It's possible this might be residual from an accident I had just over a year ago. Think I can get insurance to pay for it still since it wasn't done or noticed in the first place?

$770 for labor seems really cheap, I see the OP is in Washington, and if he's in Seattle he could expect to pay at least $2k at any of the dealers in the area. I have a co-worker who recently went through this in Seattle, for some reason everything seems to be twice as expensive there as just about anywhere else.:wacko:

When you say reseal do you mean replace the actuator o-ring and seals or resealing the TC split line with FIPG?
