4Runner1371

Almost a month since the movie came out, I'm still hyped up about it! I with they had a toyota 4runner modded in it! Hummer ambulance looked mad hot with 4 PIAA lights! I was most impressed with GMC topkick or whatever though!

The action and the special effects were quite amazing!! The plot was forgettable though. I got a feeling that there will be Transformers II because there were a lot of leftover characters that absolutely served no purpose in the movie!

It was awesome from a special effects and action point of view. I read in WIRED that the transformations stretched Industrial Light and Magic's computing capacity to the max! Sometthing like 5200 processors and 238 TB of HD space!

It was great to be a kid again during those 2 hours.

The scene where all the autobots try to hide in Sam's backyard was priceless. I love how they also subtly paid homage to the original series and comic book in a number of ways. Optimus still has his "blade". Fun movie to watch overall. My 80's childhood well relived.

Sam - "Careful! Don't step on the water fountain!"

OP - "Sorry. My Bad."

Now they should bring back and update Voltron.

vehicle voltron or lion voltron?

Lion Voltron. If they did the vehicle one I think it would look stupid no matter how fancy the special effects may be. The vehicle Voltron just reminds me of Power rangers. At least the Voltron lions have a better cool factor. Can you imagine CG robotic Voltron lions 40 feet tall ripping up everything like hell? That would look awesome.

As an interesting aside, Peter Cullen, the voice actor behind Optimus Prime also did work in Voltron. He also voiced the Voltron narrator, King Alfor, and Koran. Believe it or not, he also supplies the voice of Eeyore. Who would of thought OP and Eeyore had the same voice actor.

Peter Cullen as OP, there is no other!

I have been doing some time killing lately trying to find out the scoop on the untitled preview with the release date of 01-18-08 that played before the Transformers. Many have speculated that it may be the Voltron movie. It is not however, as the rights to Voltron are owned by another movie company. We should see Voltron some time in the near future. Based on the box office performance of Transformers, it opens the doors to produce other movies of this genre.

All my Google results come up as "Cloverfield" or "Monstrous". ??? I hate these ambiguous trailers only to turn out as a really lame movie. I hope that's not the case for this mystery title. I was thinking to myself in the theater, "This can't be another Godzilla flick" as others thought. Godzilla's been done and is yesterday. Intriguing nonetheless.

Sam's mom -

"Where you masturbating?"

"We don't have to call it that, we can call it 'Sam's Happy Time'"

"You touch my dog and I'll kick your ass!"

"Keep your hands off my bush!"

OP - "Bumblebee, stop lubricating on the man."

lol I am definitely getting the Transformers DVD when it comes out.
