Transmission cooler and sway bar questions

I'm picking up a 2000 LTD tomorrow and will be towing occasionally. I want to install a transmission cooler. What are the best brands and where can I buy one at good price?

Also, I have read threads about sway bars for the rear that are recommended for towing. Are these just larger sway bars or something different? Do I need to install a larger front bar and ready bar? Does anyone have a link to the type of bar people are referencing? Who sells em?

the TRD cooler is the Hyaden cooler. which you can get at any auto parts store.

as for sway bar I dont have any info on that.


Have you thought about upgrading the springs and shock to help with towing?

I think you should be able to find sway bars at any rv or trailer shop. If you are going to have a lot of tongue weight you might want to try doing the air bladder upgrade. I have a 17ft camper and when it was loaded my rear end was almost on the axles. I have been happy with it and it was under $100 for the kit. It isnt the easiest thing to put in but I was able to do it myself.
