Transmission Grind

Hey Guys,
I notice a slip/grind in my new 4runner. It happens when Im stopped on a slight incline and then start to accelerate. It feels like the tranny or diff is not catching and there is a grinding noise and the traction light pops up on the dash for a second. Any ideas?

Its a 04 V6 4wd auto..

Any ideas?? It's brand new to me and a little concerned.

Do a search on "Rumble Strip" threads. It is probably the reason the previous owner unloaded the truck. I would take it back.

Hill start assist. The sound is brake pulsing.

Nothing to worry about.

Thanks JB.. It def felt like something was wrong.I was slightly rolling back. Ive been so used to a 5 sped manual.. I hope this is not an issue.

Yup, if you were slightly rolling back and accelerated, that's the hill start assist and traction control. Totally normal. Enjoy the new truck!
