Transmission Issue 2004 4Runner SR5 - Stuck in reverse

Hello,
Hope you are doing good.

This morning, the car won't start. Even though the lever is on the park position, the indicator on the dash shows it's in reverse.

The gear lever is able to move between P,R,3WD etc.

I did a web search for possible causes

1. brake light fuse shorting can cause that so I replaced the fuse. No luck
2. Transmission Shift Cable Bushing Repair Kit

I will appreciate links to videos etc to help me fix the issues. i will also appreciate part # and links to replacement parts etc
