Transmission Leak, I think

So on my 06 T4R V6 2WD I had the transmission fluid exchanged. Now when I got under it to look around lately I'm noticing some fluid right where the transmission outputs to the driveshaft. It doesn't seem like a major leak but I can't seem to figure out what seal that is or what it's called. I hope I'm describing it right I will post a picture later. My best description is the joint where the transmission meets the spinning thing (I would call it driveshaft) but it has to be transmission fluid leaking to my knowledge.

did toyota do the trans fluid change? if so, they may have lubed the zerks under there and, in my experiences, they don't clean up the excess much, if at all and it will throw everywhere. that's very close to the same area...

Ill get a better picture but that 1 1/2 silver piece right before the driveshaft comes in there is normally a drop there every time I crank it. I kept wiping it off and it keeps coming back I have no idea how much is even coming out.

There is also remnants of fluid above the joint that tells me it's slinging some of it up there while it spins I guess.

Take it back and tell them they caused it and also show them the TSB and have them fix it on there dime because they should know about things like this before they do the job and should tell you before they do it also.

So to finish this out somehow the leak has fully stopped. The local Japanese auto shop thinks the dealer overfilled when they flushed it. Interesting.

There's a difference between a TSB and a Campaign/Recall; they don't have to automatically do the TSB, most are only if the customer complains (i.e. the driveshaft TSB.) The thing is that TSB does not have a warranty coverage, nor does it mean the dealership/manufacturer is responsible to replace that part immediately, its TSB that basically lets the technician know there is a superseded part for that transmission and if it is being replaced to use the new part. That being said, they SHOULD run your VIN when writing up the RO and if you take it back to them and explain what is going on they should pull that TSB up; either way the part is superseded so when they go to order the part you'll get the right one.

That doesn't exactly mean the fluid leak is gone, just that the fluid hasn't worked its way up there as much as before. I'm sure if you drove uphill or parked on an incline the leak would still be there. For future reference most technicians refer to that as the "Transmission Tailshaft Seal."

So I'm still having this issue. Basically I drove from MS to Bakersfield, CA and I didn't see a drop leak and there was no slinging of fluid above the drive shaft. Now that I'm here Im seeing a drop here and there but still not much at all. My question is when I brought this to the attention of the dealer in MS they said it isn't a major concern because it can't possibly leak that much. Umm.... I can agree its not leaking much from what I can tell but I don't know how concerned I should be at this time? Is it worth paying the dealer here a diagnostic fee to check I mean obviously they are just gonna say replace it and charge the diag fee. I'm just kinda short on money at the time, but if it prevents my transmission from burning up I'll find the money haha.
