transmission level

I just replaced my radiator and my transmision fluid. I didn't replace the filter because the pan was playing hard to get (off). My question is I removed about 6 quarts from the truck and I put I put 5 quarts back in. My dipstick now reads above the full mark when cold. I drove the truck and it works fine. Should I remove fluid? I should be low still by the amount I took out. I out please.

Above which full mark? The cold full or hot full? Drive it stop and go style until the trans is fully heated up and then check it. If it's too far over the hot full mark you should drain some. If it's just a little over I wouldn't worry too much about it.
