transmission line question

So I just added a separate transmission cooler for fear of milkshakes.

Everything went as smooth as it could go, but when I unscrewed the line on the drivers side from the bottom of the radiator, it doesn't want to thread back in.


It's the fitting with a tiny o-ring and then threads behind it. I want to plumb these two together in case the radiator decides to leak internally, the fluid won't all flow out from the built in trans cooler plumbing.


3 questions, any answer will help

1. Is there a special technique I'm not catching to make this thread back in?
2. Anyone here know the thread pitch/count so I can just plug them with a bolt?
3. Part number for replacement fittings?

If you've bypassed the rad I wouldn't worry about plugging them.
If your rad decides to leak there you need a new rad anyway.

I'm not exactly sure what you are doing but if those are plumbing fittings they are probably NPT threads. ( National Pipe Threads )

The standard sizes are 1/4, 3/8, 1/2

You might find something along the order of these to plug it with.

Here's what it looks like inside...

Maybe the threads on the fitting aren't reaching the internal cooler? (as in, it gets pushed back when you try to re-thread it)
