Transmission mount causing vibration?

To make a long story short, I'm trying to solve a vibration in my newly purchased 4Runner. A new rear U-joint and drive shaft balance took care of most of it, but there is still some drive line roughness. Could this mount be causing the rest of the vibration? To me it looks shot...

That'll do it.

Obviously there is going to be some vibration, but that's what the mount is there for. It's designed to soften that up.

Get a new mount and see how it does.

If that doesn't help, check your cross member bolts and cross members, then your engine mounts.

Yes, that mount is bad.

What are the specs on your runner? I think I have a NIB mount just like that from a misorder. If I can find it, Ill send it on its way.

It's a '99 SR5 V6 4x4 5-speed. The mount is specific to manual transmissions (part # 12371-62110). Will send you a PM.

Hey Connor did this help your problem? I have am looking into a problem right now where I get a pretty hefty vibration in the 2500+RPM range.

The idle in gear is pretty smooth. I may be looking too far into this as I also drive a 1999 LS400 which is probably one of the smoothest cars I have ever driven. Not to mention the engine mounts are filled with fluid on that car to further absorb vibration.

I replaced mine too, its supposed to ride in the middle. Helped dampen the transmission a bit but didn't solve my vibration problem because that was not it. The rubber on mine delaminated from the bottom and allowed excess movement up and down

It's a pretty simple job.
