Transmission Noise

Hi all, I'm getting some noise (sounds like a whine) under acceleration and changes when decelerating. While at speed, shifting to neutral eliminates the deceleration whine noise...

I changed the fluid sometime ago and looks nice and red still when I checked it. Level appears to be fine. I did have to replace the driveshaft (old one starting to seize up and had no zerks) with a new toyota one and greased it after installation. Rotating the driveshaft by hand and everything feels tight, no looseness. Shifts are still firm and crisp, no gear slip or anything...

Specs are 2005 V8 RWD, any ideas?

Rear differential. Ever changed the fluid or checked the level? If you get it up on jack stands (firmly supported), have someone run the trans in drive while you are underneath (very carefully not getting tangled up in anything moving) and listen to the diff with a mechanics stethoscope, you might be able to tell where it is coming from. Classic diff issue, noise changes when you are accelerating under load vs coasting.

Sorry for late response, I got a video of it. Changed the diff fluid, level was fine and fluid looked clean.

Doesn't quite sound like transmission (don't quote me on that). The sound doesn't shift, like you can't hear transmission shifting gear. Probably want to check driveshaft installation? IIRC you need to line up the shaft otherwise it's not balanced.
