I have a 2000 4-Runner, 2WD, 6-Cyl with 140,000 miles. No previous problems with anything.
Currently at speeds at and above 40mph, when foot is taken off the gas pedal, a loud internal hum with vibration down the center of the vehicle (Drive Shaft) is felt.
Replaced the Transmission fluid & filter. Replaced the Tranny Mount with no correction of the problem.
The engine runs fine and the motor mounts are good.
What else can I look for to properly diagnose this problem? U-Joints, Drive shaft alignment, CV joints, etc, etc...
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
