Transmission Problem

Hey everyone, looking for some confirmation as to what the issue with my transmission is. This morning I put the truck in drive and it did not engage or move forward. With significant revving it eventually started to crawl but would not shift smoothly through gears like it should. Fluid level is where it should be. I had to reverse home as that is the only gear that works. I'm getting P0773 code, has anyone else had this issue?

P0773 - Shift Solenoid ”E” Electrical

Haven't had that issue but my fsm says p0773 can be: 1) Open or short in shift solenoid valve SL circuit, 2) Shift solenoid valve SL or 3) ECM

Check out the attachment for more details. Luck! :cowboy:

Thanks for the link to that file!

Change out the solenoids and you should be good to go.

Parts and all run about $200 and change here in the states.

I think thats what I'm going to do. I cleared the code and disconnected the battery for a half hour to reset everything. When I started it up again the truck actually moved, although it felt like it was slipping. I don't know if that confirms that the shift solenoid is bad? what do you think? I have no experience with auto transmissions.

Does anybody know which of the three solenoids is solenoid "e" or shift solenoid SL, or what "SL" even means? Im trying to avoid replacing all three.

This is the picture the dealer sent me, can anyone help identify which number correlates to the shift solenoid valve SL? thanks
