i was wondering wht the actual difference is between a g29 and w56 i have a 56 in my 4runner and a 29 in my extend cab i know the 56 5speed is stronger but why both 5 speeds both 22rs

I dont think you have a g29....

One came behind the 22R and one came behind the 22RE

G52/54 came behind 22R, W56 came with 22RE.
The RE has more HP, so the trans is beefier. It's that simple.
The exception is the G58, it did come with the ADD RE trucks.
