This is more for the TRD devotees. I know many others have different preferences here.

It looks like the TRD air filter is back, I ordered one from my local parts dealer and will see it on Thur/Fri. Good to have a back up.

Also called around and confirmed part number is correct but description on Toyota (+ dealers) site(s) is wrong (that's for the TRD oil cap).
Other model TRD air filter part #'s have the description listed correctly.

Again I know some will say save your money ... there's better, etc...
I've had the TRD air filter on now for more than a few years and am happy with it (along w the TRD CAI).

Note PTR43-00083 was the old (now discounted) part #

Your picture shows several other TRD air filter numbers. Do you have any idea what vehicles those fit?

Are these one time use filters, or can they be cleaned and re-oiled like the K&N filters?

It says in the paragraph below the picture that it is washable and reusable and requires re-oiling.

There are washable filters that do not require oiling - aFe Pro Dry S filter.

Same process as K&N, clean and re-oil, some speculate these are made by K&N for Toyota.

Looks like they haven't added the specific models yet for the other part numbers, but does list years and there's one specifically for Scion.

Don't waste your money! I have a TRD filter and reverted back to the OEM paper filter. Paper filters better , nothing at all is gained from the TRD filter.

I purchased a Toyota Performance Air Filter (Part No. PTR03-00083) for my 2024 4Runner just the other day. My personal preference is to re-use things rather than discard them; but no judgment from me. I'm keeping the original paper filter as my backup.

I do have a question for anyone using the cleanable filters for a while now: what product do you use to clean the filter? My research has pointed me to the Toyota TRD Air Filter Cleaning Kit (Part No. PTR43-00088) which can be had for neither love nor money as of July 2024. Any place I find it online, it is sold out and discontinued. When I call my local Toyota dealership, they also tell me both the filter and the cleaning kit have been discontinued.

This air filter appears to be in a strange limbo state of for sale and discontinued. I just bought a filter from a Toyota dealership on eBay, so either they had some backstock, or this thing is not discontinued. Regardless, I haven't been able to find the cleaning kit which Toyota should also sell, so I'm wondering what folks use? Do you have a secret stash of Toyota air cleaner, or use K&N products? aFe? Homebrew? Stark Industries?

K&N cleaning kit:

+1 > K&N Cleaning Kit (which includes the oil) as fkheath mentioned.

Agree. Spoke with a K&N rep and they have this in stock. Also, they recommend cleaning and re-oil about every 30k miles unless you're doing some heavy dusty offroading.
