TRD Cap

Does enyone have this cap in 4th gen? Some sites say it'll fit 3rd gen, but not 4th.

3rd gens use a normal screw on type cap, 4th gens use a half turn, more modern cap. If that is for a 3rd gen, it will not fit.

Weird thing is, it fits 2005 GX470. Why wouldn't it fit 2005 4Runner?

Not sure, I had a 98 and 02 4Runner, which had very very different mechanisms on the gas cap than my 03. The changes probably had something to do with emissions and the sensitivity of the seal so the check engine light doesn't come one all the time like in the 3rd gens.
