My SR5P didn't come with these headrests, but I would love to be able to fold my rear headrests down. Have googled but can't find a part number for these, curious if anyone has the part number or has done this swap.

Ah I see. So yes that link should take you too the page at camelback parts, number ten I think on the schematic, click on for more info and part numbers.

Hmm, I see three part numbers for your year. BUT I cross checked against the different trim levels and they produce the same part numbers.

I checked my year (2013) as I know all trims have folding headrests and they cost another $100 over your year, so $450 ea! (71940-35541-C1) SO not sure whether any of your years trims have them or not.

Anyway my suggestion would be to call or go to a local dealer parts dept., throw the part numbers at them and physically check them.

that's another issue i have w/ this vehicle. I can't believe how dated the headrests are and they block 40% of the back window view. I was hoping the above head rests from my 07 rav4 swapped over but they do not work. I took them off permanently since I only have car seats in back anyway.

Sorry to bump an old thread but did you end up doing this swap? Just want to know if these folding headrests will swap into my SR5P.

Also, do you know what other trim levels have these folding headrests?

Did a search but no definitive answer if this swap will work or not.

Thanks!

I did not end up doing it, the only time I found the parts they were $400 a piece so I just drive with my rear seats down all the time. I'd still love to do it if anyone can provide the part numbers that are at a more reasonable cost. I'd also like to know if non TRD-Pros have this option because they;d be a lot cheaper than TRD embossed ones

The SR5 has them, but they most likely won't be the same material you have.

Also, check out a salvage yard and see if they have any 5th Gen 4runners there. Maybe you can pull the headrest out of one of them. Would probably be the cheapest route I'd imagine.

As others have mentioned these head rests are standard equipment on cars without a 3rd row. The bottom of the seat flips up, and the headrest folding down is a requirement for the seat back to fit when folded down flat.

I'm not sure if they were on 10-12 cars, but 13+ all have folding head rests. I'd just search for a wrecked one and buy off that.

So curiosity got the best of me and I wanted to know the price for new. NOPE.

You weren't telling any lies when you said they are like $400.... For one. SMH
