If I am staying local I do you use my hitch rack. But when I travel up to Wisc or over to Indiana I like to have them on the roof for security purposes. It's much harder to steal them off the roof when they are locked up then when they are on the hitch.
and most importantly I live in the Chicago land area where people have no clue how to drive and or slow down. I would hate to see my bike get crushed between bumpers.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the appeal and intended use of a fat bike? I was really into mountain biking growing up and worked at a bike shop for 4 years in high school/college, but after sustaining a non-biking injury that left me unable to ride for a while, and seeing multiple $2000+ bikes get stolen college, I never got back into it. That was around 2006 or 07.
I've seen a few fat bikes before, and my first though was they were an evolution of the hardtail dirt jumping bikes that were popular back when I knew what was up, or meant for snow or something. Are they used for downhill/freeriding type trails or do you actually use them for cross country? What psi do you run in those tires? Why would you want a fat bike over a 4-6" full suspension bike with say 2.3-2.5" tires? It seems like the the added rolling resistance and weight of those tires would be less than ideal unless you're doing DH or dirt jumping stuff.

Originally I purchased the bike for riding in the winter. The 14/15 Winter as we had record snow fall and while all my skinny 2.0 thru 2.3 tire bikes were sitting inside all of us Fat Bikers were out riding. I was able to log almost 800 miles on snow that winter. When summer came the trails were soft, wet and in most cases muddy and that is when I really started to like the bike more. Once again I would try to ride my 5" travel 650B bike with 2.2 and I spent most of the time walking the bike or actually pushing the bike. The Fat bike not so much as it rode over everything.
The RockShox introduced the Bluto which was the first true 100mm suspension fork for a Fat Bike and that was the game changer. Since most of the trails were still not truly ride able we started hanging out in the Rock Garden trails and talk about a game changer. The Bluto Fork made the bike unstoppable and just fun to ride. Granted it takes a little more work to keep the bike rolling it's almost like riding a 4" travel bike as you get at least 2" travel in the rear from the tire compressing since it only has 6 or 7 psi in it.
The newest size is the mid-fat 27.5 x 3.5 on a 44mm wide rim (yes there is yet another size) is pretty much going to be my summer tire as it's the best of both worlds. It accelerates very similar to 27.5 or 29" tire but the added rim & tire width make it a cornering beast and roll over anything you point the bike it.

What is in the lower right corner over your cargo storage? Looks like a JBL logo...is that a subwoofer or is there some sort of storage cover available? Drives me "nuts" from my Gen 4 that this spot is open....as I used to store a bunch of crap back there.
Was thinking about fabbing up something myself....just curious if there is an aftermarket snap-in part.
BTW - glad you like your CanvasBack!...mine should be here this week!

It's actual the factory installed JBL sub and it truly sounds great.
And your going to love the canvas back just make sure you don't eat the treats.

Fast forward a couple days and I needed a way to secure the bike without people realizing it's easy to remove.
SRAM sells an axle for the weight weenie's which works perfect for me.

Next step was the trail rockers and the factory nerf bars.
I purchased the Nerf Bars from a new member on the board and he shipped these to me as promised. Daniel is a great guy and I can't thank him enough.
I originally cut up the limited rockers to see if I would like them.
But I didn't so back to the dealership to order more parts. I also ordered the pieces for the roof rack while I was there.

Rec'd my CanvasBack and it only velcros around the factory carpet mat in the rear while yours covers the R/L storage areas in front. Weird.
Can you confirm which part you ordered? Mine is:

I'm getting my 2015 TEP in white in sept and am interested in wrapping the front and rear silver bumber in black. Are you happy with the job that Xtreme graphics

How do you like your choice of tire? I was thinking of going with the K02's.
I've had my Salsa Mukluk2 for two years now and love it. I wouldn't call myself an avid rider. I bought the bike mainly to get out in the winter with my dog and get us both some exercise. I was skeptical at first but the bike has been so much fun to ride in all seasons.

Actually mine is on the floor only not the sides. I will take a better picture today.

Make sure you post up a few pics when you get your new truck. Yes I'm happy with the job they did. I have one area that needs a minor repair due to shrinking.
The tires ride and drive great and cruise well at 85mph with no issues.
As for your Mulluk2 you know what they say once you go fat you never go back.

Thanks. I was thinking they sent me the wrong part.
For the roof rails...I wrapped mine with 3M Satin Black vinyl. My first attempt at wrap and went pretty smooth. Just took a little patience, but was extremely fast after everything was off.

How much did the vinyl wrap run? Im looking to have the same thing done on the chrome trim pieces around my bumpers and side skirts.

$28 on eBay. I'll send the part number later tonight. For the bumpers you would want a nice variable heat gun. I didn't need for the rails obviously.

Interesting - I don't have those little cubby holes behind the inverter on each side (above / inside the wheel well humps)... I'd much rather put that JBL sub where the unusable space is back there. I currently have a toe strap there but it can be put wherever.
/offtopic - can the JBL sub be purchased separately since its a factory option or is that a limited only option? I might actually get rid of my cargo tray as it only takes up the much needed 2-3" of room for my ARB frig...

I know it sounds too "amateur", yet you might want to consider PlastiDipping these parts. If you click my build thread in the signature, I was torn between wrapping, buying new parts or plastidipping being the last option. Wrap was too spendy considering it "could" scratch later and need to be de-done, so I bought new fender pieces. I didn't want to take my entire bumper off (I have patience for some things, not others), so I sent them back and bought a few $8 cans of PlastiDip. Photos in my thread. I know it sounds cheap (it is), but works well for this stuff.
