TRD Off Road blackout kit?

Anyone know where I can find a black-out kit that would include the "TRD Off Road" emblems on the side pillars?

I tried Plasti-Dip and it was far too tedious on the side emblems.

I went the plasti dip route on the side emblems. It was my first time plasti dipping and it went smooth. This was 3-4 months ago, if there was something available at that time I would've got it, but I couldn't find anything. Good to know there is now for when my plasti dip wears down. So far so good though.

I was reluctant to spend $70 on the "TRD Off Road" badges only, but i did it anyway. I may want to swap the silver ones back on at some point, so i'll save those in case.

So you were able to just get the "TRD Off Road" emblems in black? Following the link, I'm not finding that option.

Anybody bought from this company before? Reputable? Been wanting to black out my emblems too but also couldn't find the kit for TRD Off-road

I bought the NoLux kit for my TRD Pro back in 2015. It was less than $100.00 back in the day but I only needed the rear part of the kit.

All to say that they have survived through summer heat, snow blizzard and rain without fading or falling off.

They are overlay's that stick on with double-sided 3M tape so you don't have to remove or damage the original letters.

Pretty good quality in my opinion.

Thanks for the review. I just bought the TRD OR full kit. Yes, I know $150+ is a lot but I'm a father of 4 and I literally have zero free time to go back and forth spraying coats of plasti-dip. I'm also to OCD, which would require even more time to make sure it's just right.

So...I splurged for the kit.

I'll post results when they arrive. They appear to be on back order.

There are over lays for the badges and decals that replace the badges. I sent my badges to Rich so he could use them as a template. Rich has made a ton of stuff for the Tacoma and Tundra. This is his eBay store:

I took my badges off and put flat black decals on. As a detailer I hate polishing, claying and waxing around badges.

It would be nice if they offered a Pro kit. I don't have a Pro but all I need is the two rear emblems and I don't want to pay for extras I don't need. Plus I think their pricing is a bit off, the 5 piece kit for a 4Runner is $99.99 but an 8 piece one for a Tundra is the same cost. Oh well I'll probably just bite the bullet eventually but I can't do it yet.

Also found these, I'm guessing dealers are buying kits and passing them off as OEM?

I too was looking for the black out kit. After not finding it for the Off Road, I tried the plasti-dip method on the side badge. After seeing how clean and easy it was, I went plasti-dip crazy. All silver and grey got dipped! IMG_5400.jpg

I just ordered from them. They were recommended by my dealer. They are backordered so I guess we'll see how long it takes to get them.

how are you guys reattaching the badges afterwards? I would give up retrimming body tape around each letter on the badges. But both my TRD OR badges are crooked and its driving me ****ing bonkers!

I did all the work with all badges mounted on vehicles except for front toyota logo. That has 3 clips that pop loose.
