Trd pro lift question

+1 trying to figure this out as well.

Have a 2017 TRD Pro w/ Toytec FJ4RPRO lift and 285s

Have a negative rake when im fully loaded up w/ gear, cooler, tire carrier, roof rack, roofnest falcon, and no passengers

I contacted Toytec before to see if they have a heavier spring for the rear but they mentioned not to go that route cause the rear shocks wont be able to work with it hwell:

With the OEM shocks I would not go over 2"

I have a lot of weight in the back and ended up doing the HD springs and its been perfect. Without the weight it would be too much but with my setup it's great. I may get heavier in the rear and am going to chat with my shop about the xd springs vs finally replacing the shocks.

I’ve got OME 895’s in the rear with Airlift 1000 airbags. Love it! The 895’s are much better than stock and give me around 2” of lift, and airbags help a ton when I go super heavy and I can quickly pump them up or let some air out.

Nice! Toytec just got back to me and mentioned i should probably get the XDs as well but may need to replace the shocks and get longer brake lines.

Have you had any issues with using XDs on your TRD Pro rear shocks?

For anyone that wants to lift their truck using a proper spring setup, here's what I used on my Pro for the fronts:

PTR13-35140-AA

Its an OEM TRD spring which is also in TRD red. It's a 14" springs and gives your PRO an additional 1.5" of lift. Personally, I'd stay away from spacers. It's a quick solution, but please do some research regarding reliability and the ramifications for adding either extra preload on your springs or using spacers above your front coilover.



For the rears, get some springs.
T13 have a mild lift
T12 are even taller
I ended up with Icon 2" rear springs

Is the OEM TRD a 600# spring? I was looking at Icon 13.5" 650# or King 14" 600# for the front. I haven't found Eibach's spring rate for their new springs for the PRO either, but sounds like they are higher rate than stock.

I don't recall the spring rate but I'm pretty sure it's closer to stock values.
If you don't care for the colors, then look for a 14" spring like the ones that come on the bilstein kit. Icon and king both make 14" springs too (which is a common size) and they have a selection of rates from 550-700 in 50lb increments

I went with 14” 600# springs on my front Bilstein TRD Pro coilovers and really like it. Definitely stiffer than the OEM TRD Pro springs. Gave me another inch or so of lift too since the OEM springs were 13” and also not as stiff.

Haven't done it yet. Bumper comes end of December. We'll see.

Anyone have anymore pictures of the custom 2.25/2 spacer lift? Or even the 2.5/2?

I'm tempted to pull the trigger on a spacer lift this weekend if I can find any Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals.
