TRD Pro suspension on 4th gen questions ...

I have found a TRD pro suspension from an FJ locally, complete strut assemblies and reservoir rear shocks. I have not seen them in person, but pics look good. Asking price is $550, but they've been up for a month so I could probably get them lower.

However, I cannot find any references as to whether these will bolt on to my 2004 4wd 4Runner, please advise!

The only thing I can find is on TRDparts4U listing the kit for 2010 and up FJ's and 4Runners. I'm confused.

You need to know what year the fj is. I would ask the year and how many miles they have on them. And then I would Check a supplier website for a bilstein 6112 and see if the same part numerous are sold for the 04 4ru ner as that year fj.

I am guessing they would work as I am also guessing that when you try to order new parts and the same part numbers come up.

I would be surprised if they didn't fit.

it bolts on directly, the 03+ 4runner, Fj, and 05+ tacoma have the same chassis, well frame wise and powertrain its is the same. in 2010 they went from the 120 to the 150 platform, however this isnt a big deal since the only real change was the front sway bar, and the change from the 8 inch rear to the 8.2. i cross bolt parts all the time between mine, my dads 2012 trail and a friends 2016 pro. nothing special has to be done just bolt it on like a normal suspension part.

i find that odd, the mounting shaft for the rear shocks is a tiny bit larger but not enough to warrant having to ream the frame hole. plus idk what he was talking about with having to widen the mounting on the lca. ive measured the width on all 3 4runners ive done suspension work on and theyre all within 1/32" in mounting width. hell a good deal of parts across the 4th and 5th gen have the same P/N.

all it is is a 6112 with only 2 adjustment positions and a trd spring similar to the trd tundra coil the 3rd gen guys like to run. then just run of the mill 11" 5160s in the rear. its not that special
