TRD Pro vs. Limited Suspension

Tried looking around a bit for this but couldn't quite find what I was looking for. I really like the Limited but rode in a TRD Pro yesterday and it felt higher off the ground than the Limited. What (if in fact there is any) is the difference between the limited and TRD Pro when it comes to suspension/lift?

There is absolutely no difference in suspensions. I checked.

The TRD Pro suspension is the only one that is ready for "Gnarly Conditions and Nasty Stuff" and has the ability to go "way, way, way off-road" per the Toyota website.

The other trims can only handle Mild Conditions and Slightly Dirty Stuff and can only sorta go off the pavement a little bit.

There is really no comparison. Both are totally different. Please search.

I'm completely aware they are different vehicles serving different purposes, my question is simply in terms of which rides higher. I know the suspension on the TRD Pro makes it much more off road capable, but my question is does that result in a higher-riding vehicle.

I thought the TRD pro suspension gave a 1 inch lift for the front.

Yeah that's what everyone is saying. At all the different press events and stuff, the Toyota guys always make a big deal about the increased off-road-ability of the TRD Pro, and they never fail to mention the suspension so I thought it'd be more pronounced than that. Especially riding in one it feels very high off the ground. I was just curious, got a tough crowd around here though:)

we have both. A limited and a Pro. the limited visually looks closer to the ground due to body skirt and lower bumpers plus the tires are regular all season. On top of that all seats (especially the back ones) are actually lower to the 4R floor compared to the Pro ones. if you check the ground clearance between the Pro and the Limited, the Pro is taller. The Fox suspension/coils combination lifts it at least by 1.25inches in the front... on top of that the seats are higher compared to the Limited. I am 6.1 I actually have to stretch to get into the driver seat compared to the Limited - where both cars seats are to the max top height setting. so yes small things that add up to the higher ride in the Pro. The Off-Road tires also add to this experience of course (they are a bit taller compared to the stock all season tires i the limited)

Ride quality - nothing beats the Pro with Fox at stock height.
