TRD Rim Center Cap Remove/Install Info

Probably a silly question but before I take my new rims to the tire shop how do you remove and install the center cap ? I've never seen one with a spring like these have .

You may not need to remove it. Usually the nuts can be accessed with it on.

Rim Caps

You'll see a spot you can put your screw driver in to pop it off. Simple as that. The spring is just to keep it in place.

Thanks for the replies . I'm having new tires mounted on them and I didn't want the installer cracking them . But to balance the tire they have to come off right ? Road Force machine will be used .

Open the Toyota jack on rear driver side, it has a pry bar, use that on the slot on the center caps.

Yes it will scratch a little if you leave it on.

It’s a good idea to take off the center caps yourself. They are so delicate that tire shops and dealers can easily damage them especially when pounding them back on.
In your 4R tire kit bag is a foot log pry bar with an angled spoon end. Use that to easily pry off the cap in one of the 2 slots. To install the cap, line it up and slap it on with your palm.

Again thanks for the replies but I think we're talking about two different caps . These are the spring loaded center caps that come on the black TRD Pro rims .

I think I have got figured out . The spring stays in .You don't remove it .
