I agree with Koz. If they have to completely overhaul their specs to produce this beast, it will not happen b/c it is not cost effective. However, I can see them make a handful.

Remember this is a show car... Anyone who has done work with superchargers knows that you will not bolt on a supercharger and add 155 HP and 100 ft lbs of torque without major changes throughout. That V6 was heaviliy modified just for the show... You know... Concept cars??? The real version will be more streetable.

I have an email (back in May 2005) stating that TRD was working on a supercharger for the 4.0 V6 to go with the current production engines... Not sure if they abandoned this quest or just put out a show version to spark interest.

TRD is to busy making BS non-performance products for the Tuner market (Scions). Come on, 40 some-odd new products for underpowerd cars that will never make enough power to compete with a Yugo. TRD needs to get their heads out their asses and get back to making great power making products.

The Scions are catering to the younger crowd that is more into looks than performance and from the sales Toyota is doing the right thing but still,TRD could release some more stuff for us grownups.
Form seems to overtake funtion in alot of people's minds,just look at all the SUVs with 20"+ wheels on them,not a performance upgrade whatsoever but that doesn't stop the masses from doing it.

You are correct and I understand where the money is but TRD stands for TOYOTA RACING DEVELOPMENT. They are forgetting what made them! They don't even make headers for the 4.0 V6. One day (not to far away) when all the fancy TRD nick-nacks can't pay the bills they will be sucking wind.
