Damn, a little scratch on the bumper cover and some of you are talking about replacing the whole bumper cover???

Why don't we pull the motor and tranny too? It's obvious the trauma inflicted by this disaster is real close to just writing off the vehicle as a total loss.

It's often cheaper to just replace the plastic bumper cover than try to fix a scratched one. A primed bumper cover is only $138. It's hard to fix anything and prep for paint for less. And then you're getting a repaint over old paint rather than paint on a new primed bumper cover. Just doesn't make sense to re-use the old one if you're going to get it fixed.

It's a sign that you should buy a full steel bumper.

I did a small write up of how to fix a decent scratch. It's not too bad and I had to deal with a much larger scratch.

That does not look like it was keyed to me.

Better not take it on the trails, it will see much worse... The first one is tough to take, but it gets easier.

Look for a mobile repair guy.

This one was recommended to me (Bay Area, California) but my fender for my s2000 was beyond what he could do on my driveway. I had to get it to an experienced body shop where they could hammer and roll the shape back in.
