Treadwright Claw mt tires might pull the trigger help!

Looking at getting these treadwrights new b2b tire. I'm worried the load range E will ride awefull on my DD. Any advice?

load range E will ride awful. I have some Pirelli Scorpion Load range E tires now and they blow goats. If I didn't get such a deal on them with my rims I'd throw them in the garbage.

good to know and thanks for the quick reply... The main thing i liked about them is they are the new bead to bead retread. They have the 285/75 Warden A/T b2b Load range D but they are a little pricey after shipping about 670. Although there is a current coupon code for a 5th tire free.
I'd like to stick with 265's since it is my dd. I have 1000 to throw at it for lift and tires.

I just emailed Treadwright to get the tire Weight on the Wardens and the Guard Dogs. The only Guard Dogs that are B2B are the 285/75/16

I don't know of anything in 255/85 that isn't an MT tire in D or E load range, and if you're at all concerned about how the tire rides on the street, those aren't for you. Those are working tires. There's a couple AT tires in the 235/85 size, but I think most of those are load range E too.

I think you'd be happiest with a quiet P-rated road tire, but if you have to have your truck look tough, have a gander at the Cooper ATPs. Good looking tread, decent on the ice and snow, relatively quiet on the road, you can get them in a 265/75 with a C load rating, and they won't brake the bank.

Cool. Tires can be cheap, they can have great traction, and they can ride well on the street. Pick any two.

I still think you should look at the Coopers. My wife doesn't want to spring for Duratracs, so that's probably what we're going to put on her truck next.

A friend of mine has them on his dodge. They're at 50% in 8k miles.

Don't cheap out on tires. If you're willing to spend $650-$700 on tires, spend the extra $100-200 and at least get some duratrac's or something reputable.

Just get a 265 75 warden, mine have about 10k on them and they look brand new. Probably going to get a second set of wardens in 285 70 for my tundras soon

I have ran all types of laod tires, I now run e load since thats what treadwright usually has in stock due to hard to find casings. My kids and wife could not even tell the difference, I could tell but its not that bad. I like them better because they hold up a lot when loaded down and they seem to last a lot longer. They are pretty heavy though so you will lose a little gas mileage.

Try looking at the Grabber MT's I have a good friend that only runs these and he has a cherokee that runs at rally car speed on dirt roads and has no issue with traction or wear. I dont know the going rate for them, but if you only need to get 4 to get rolling...

I have run BFG KM2s on my jeep and I absolutely loved them. They air down nicely for snow runs and hold up great in the mud and gravel. I also ran those when flying down dirt roads at rally car speed... no issues at all.

It looks like an ok product. Overpriced though. You could get Tundra/TRD struts for the same if not less. Or even an entire daystar lift. I wouldn't really recommend the spacers. But they work good for looks and bigger tires.

I like the looks of those General Grabbers but cant really find them in my size i need the typical 265/75/16, 285/75/16 or 255/85/16.
I just got am email from treadwright and the weight on the 265 Wardens and Guard Dogs are 56lbs. How does that compare to new tires?
Anyone know a good place to find tundra trd front strut/coil? Ive tried Car-part.com and the closest place that seems to have them at $60 a piece is san antonio (Im in austin) and they said they would double check and call me back but of course no call yet.
