Tred recovery - better than a group buy!

I'm down for a set. These look much stronger than other sets that I've been looking at.

I may have skimmed quick but I was looking to see if they had a deal for two sets with no added accessories and didnt see any. Would have gone that route had it been a little cheaper than buying two seperate sets

How do the new mounting brackets work? They sell individually and it says in the reward description of the mount you can use a single one to center mount the TRED Pro but I don't get how the black side straps are going to work to wrap around the tracks and hold them down from that center mounting point. From the video it looks as if the 4 outer more oblong holes are the only ones, width wise, compatible with the new mount and the circular mount points are all compatible with the older TRED 800/1100 mounts.

Damn... someone pledged on the mother load... a pallet (44 sets). I was thinking to jump on that seeing how fast these are going.

I thought about that, or seeing if we could buy a pallet between us and get the lower price, but it's free shipping to Australia, shipping on a pallet from Australia to me would probably hurt it a bit.

Yes, it is a good deal. I use TRED4X4 too.

But for these new ones, I am just worried that those "dual composite" teeths are still going to be "burnt off" if your tires are spinning.

And these may not be strong enough to be used as a "bridge".... that MAXTRAX are known to be good for.

The lifetime warranty is a good thing, but if you use these as a "bridge" and it broke, all they are going to warranty is the "product" itself..... so, kind of moot....

I think that's similar issue with existing TRED4X4 (now, I haven't get to "break" a TRED4X4 yet tho).

Lastly, the custom/duty maybe a big show stopper..... any idea?

Here's a couple shots of the mounting system. Looks like you can use one with the treads in the center, or use 2 mounts and secure from all 4 corners.

But as they show and disclose this is for self extraction not bridging. And even in the Expedition Portal review the Maxtrax wasn't the best at bridging. Would it be great if they did sure, is it necessary for a majority of the users or even in bad situations I would disagree. Just saying what these were produced for and will be used for they do a great job.

As pictured in the video ( your screen shots) where they feature the new mount they are mounting to the outer most holes in the track. In the description below the video that maps out the mounting points, the center mount holes are to narrowly spaced to fit the posts on the new mounting bracket. Also following in the example photos of the Prototype TRED Pro mounted to the back of a jeep, they are using their old mount, mounted into the center holes of the new TRED Pro.

So is the graphic/video/prototype just not accurately showing all the mounting points for the new TRED Pro track?

Maybe Ill just mount using the maxtracks mounts, they look less intrusive (to space when I don't have tracks mounted up on a rack) than this whole plate/ flappy rubber straps thing that TRED is doing, or am I missing something?

The new mount can be fitted for the center (like the old mount pictured with the jeep) or 2 mounts can be used to accommodate other tracks... this is my take on it.

Maxtrax pins or mount would work too.
