Tred recovery - better than a group buy!

Got my shipping notification Sunday. Just got them today (Tuesday).

Here are some pics of the mount for anyone interested. It comes with 2 aluminum pins, one for mounting 2 tracks one taller for mounting 4. Pictured with the mount are small snap in pieces that cover openings depending on how you attach it to your vehicle. It comes with the hardware to mount the pins to the bracket as well as some rubber o rings which Im assuming go at the base of the pins to keep rattle to a minimum between the tracks and the mount base.

Wrong color.

I just got my TRED set.
They look pretty legit especially the mount/lock mechanism.
I have one gripe, they are the wrong color (green) wanted grey for the stealth look.
I was under the impression that grey was the default color and you wouldn't get green unless you specifically requested it.

Anyone know?

TREDs group buy

I was NOT a part of the group buy but wish to purchase any color. I would hate to see a fellow forum member driving around with a color that does not meet their requirements. I tried to order two sets of the pros but was too late. I would also buy Maxtrax if they were cheaper.

Yea, the rack is best out of the way spot but most of my summer trips include a canoe and I would have to unload it to access the treds . And yes , the heat , I was born and raised in the Mojave and I do not miss it one bit this time of year . I remember one summer day at 127 degrees !
