I prefer to support US business for several reasons. I do understand the need to move offshore. My company does a lot of international business, including China.
Trek Lights look real well made so I am not concerned about that. Troy is given good customer service so far, at least when he is not using his phone for bait. (Must be a Florida thing)

I'm curious, are the bodies of these lights both made out of heavy aluminum?
Also, I was looking at the 42" TrekLight ES in the combination beam pattern, but I'm worried that the bar will be too wide to fit properly on my 4Runner.
In case anyone was wondering, the measurement between the two cross bars that come factory installed for the luggage rock is roughly 42", and on the short side of that too.
Can you recommend some lights that will do the job as the combo pattern will, or at least won't leave my peripherals blind?
By the way, do you have a return policy on your lights?

Treklight website options for beam pattern for the XT/ES lights are spot or flood, I did not see combo/combination beam pattern as an option.
Troy invited questions, after all these lights are a decent amount of money/investment.
Who is the China manufacture assembling Treklights? What is your understanding of their quality controls and assembly process.
With a one year warranty on electronics, how proven are the manufacture componets against seal failure.

The only light on TrekLights website that is available with the combination spot/beam pattern is the 42" TrekLight ES (with the Epistars), also the seal failure issue was another question I had. However, it seems as these lights are pretty new to the market as offered from Troy, so there may not be much history to go back on... Still a great question though.

Oops , I stand corrected. It would be nice to hv the combo option on the xt lights.
As I researched made in China off road led lights there where quite a few manufactures. Each listed what thelr products specs, componets and wholesale bulk pricing on 10+ units.
Did I miss reading that these led lights where new to the market specificly for Treklight. They look like many made in China lights sold by some T4R vendors, members and other resellers websites.
I was told if warranty is important purchase another brand with lifetime warranty. At $489, Treklights are half the price of those with lifetime warranties. If these led are made for treklights perhaps quality controls are in place. After all anything can fail, but after one yr you're out of options but to buy a new light. . Just trying to make an informed buying decision.

All my 9-5 clients wanted on-site visits, combined with the GB ending soon, makes for a crazy combo!
