I'm sure he's trying to get the orders filled asap, from what I've read. Not responding with updates, good or bad, has left many nervous.
The size of this group buy across many forums, exposed this new start company to a hugh financial liability. Hopefully, China will continue sending orders when it comes to warranty fulfilment.
Good intentions, but IMO to much risk for a new start, it appears he's trying.

Anyone ever ban a vendor before? just curious haha
I hate to bash Troy because he was good to me and got my lights out asap when I ordered from him. BUT... this is a bit messed up. I know that if I had my money waiting on his lights right now I would probably get a refund. Hopefully [MENTION=90521]treklights[/MENTION] can straighten things out soon?

hwell: But i do think once he has settled up with every single person involved, he should move on. The T4R members deserve much better than this.I hardly think Troy is a crook, I think he just bit off more than he can chew and maybe more than his supplier was expecting. At the very least I think he owes everyone a daily update if for nothing more than to show his customers that they aren't being ignored.
Fwiw, I haven't installed my lights yet but I dd wre them real quick to the battery... These suckers are bright!! I also picked up a couple 6" single rows from the Hanma buy and they are pretty bright too.

I never said he was a crook, but if you are projecting yourself as a legit company you should act accordingly. He might have gotten in over his head, but ignoring people and giving false information isn't the type of "vendor" we need on this forum. Our members deserve better than that.

I've held my breath long enough. I've filed my complaint with Paypal to get my money back. After repeated emails, phone messages, and PM's without response, I've had to pull the plug on this. I'm a member on all the forums that he had this group buy on and everyone is ready to torch this guy. I can only give someone the benefit of the doubt for so long. At this point, you should seriously consider doing the same thing. I do not want anybody to get screwed.

Anyway, spoke with a friend of mine that sells Hanma cheena led light bars on his site, He told me that he receives his lights in 4 to 7 days from Cheena from the time he orders them. HUH !
How long will it take if you have a customer service issue like a bar that does not work ? HUH !
Wow, i paid double for my Rigid swag, but it was on my doorstep the next day after ordering it, YEP, 24 hours later, sitting on my doorstep when i got home from making toothpicks out of logs.
Really, 3 or 4 months later and no lights, and a vendor that does not respond. and today is the first anyone has voiced a negative towards this vendor. I sure hope these lights exceed your expectations after all this.

No reason to feel like a tool. You go with what you know. At the time it seemed like a good deal. I gotta admit, I am very happy with my lights that I got from him. I'm also happy with the lights that I got from the hanma buy. However... With what I have seen here (and other forums) I don't plan on buying any more lights from Treklights.
You were banned because you were out of line and you know it.
You have also stated your opinion about what lights you prefer and that is great! If I had a couple grand that I didn't know what to do with, I would have gotten the high end lights. Unfortunately, you gotta do with what you have and what your budget allows.
I don't want to come across as defending Troy. I think he owes his customers a darn good apology and some lights OR a refund if they want it.

If I were him i would be giving some good reasons why this has turned into a cluster-f, giving the people involved a 15%-20% discount and overnighting their lights out ASAP. I would rather lose a little money doing that than having PayPal and credit card companies crawling my backside.

Check out the vendor section on Pirate. Everyone and their mother sells these lights now. I believe addicted offroad is dabbling as well.

Nope, did not get out of line. You would last about 2 seconds on pirate4x4. Learn to have thicker skin without getting butt hurt.
It is not about spending a couple grand on lights, it is about getting something quality, Like anything, you get what you pay for.
When seeking LED lights, look for products that have 10 watt cree led's, and you will find bright lights with quality led's, make sure the housing has a heat sink built in and durable mounting or the lights will bounce.
